Panel Discussion: Engaging Alumni Through Virtual Events & Activities (FREE Recording)

Recorded On: 05/20/2020

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact educational institutions throughout the nation, many school advancement programs are forced to either cancel alumni events or try to produce them online. And while pivoting in this way raises questions and concerns, it also presents opportunities to reach audiences in new and valuable ways.

Exploring this topic, Dan Allenby (AGN) will lead an online conversation with industry experts Susan deMuth (Johns Hopkins University), Steve Hall (Boston University), and Heather Makrez Allen (UMass Lowell) to share experiences, offer perspectives, and tackle some of the following questions:

  • Which events are best suited for an online format?
  • What are the biggest obstacles to producing alumni events online, and how can they be addressed?
  • How can alumni relations teams collaborate with students, faculty, and other campus partners on programming?
  • What additional challenges might alumni programs face in the weeks, months, and years ahead?
  • And more!

Please note: While we are offering unlimited free registrations for this event, our panel discussions have a maximum capacity of 500 live attendees. Access is first come, first served, and will be given to the first 500 attendees that log on to the live session. Anyone who is not able to view the event live will receive a recording of the discussion.
