OVERVIEW
Picking up the phone to call someone out of the blue can be an uncomfortable task. It's an art (and a science) that doesn't come naturally to most people. Whether your goal is to request a meeting, recruit a volunteer, extend an event invitation, solicit a donation, or to simply say "thanks," it helps to understand and practice good technique. Doing so will reduce your own anxiety while leading to more comfortable and productive conversations with your prospects.
