OVERVIEW
AGN’s “Best in Annual Giving” (BAG) Awards recognizes the great work of annual giving programs at educational institutions across the industry. Hundreds of sample entries each year include direct mail appeals, emails, scripts, stewardship pieces, volunteer materials, advertisements, giving day and crowdfunding campaigns, challenges, videos, and more. Winners are selected based on their quality, innovation, and/or overall effectiveness.
Register now and join us on Thursday, October 8th for the special live event during which host Dan Allenby and special guests will share some of the best samples submissions from the past year and offer insight into what makes each one special. He will also provide a tour of AGN’s exclusive members only sample collection.

Dan Allenby (Host)
President & Founder | Annual Giving Network
Dan Allenby is an author, speaker, and consultant who has worked with educational institutions for over 25 years to improve their fundraising results. An internationally-recognized expert on annual giving, he is the recipient of CASE’s prestigious “Crystal Apple” award for teaching excellence. He is principal and founder of Annual Giving Network and previously led annual giving and membership programs at Boston University, Tufts University, Georgetown University, and the National Geographic Society.
Megan Poole
With over 10 years of experience in education and fundraising, Megan has led annual giving and direct marketing programs at the University of Virginia and the University of Florida. Her other experience includes work as a college writing instructor and a highschool English teacher. She holds a B.A. in English from Wesleyan College and an M.A. in English from Syracuse University.
